This book is commonly compared to the Hunger Games because of the similarities in the “dystopian future”. However, these two books are both incredibly unique in their own way. Divergent has an awesome plot, and, on the plus side, the characters are believable, flawed, and unique.

Divergent is about a girl called Tris who live in a city of five factions. After taking the test, Tris finds herself not fitting with any one faction, making her a rare “Divergent”. She choses a the faction “Dauntless” and trains with everyone else. At the end of the book, everyone is put under a trance to kill one of the other faction’s people and only Tris and a boy called Tobias stayed awake, because they are divergent. After helping the other faction as much as they could, Tris and Tobias fled to the outlines of the city.

This book has a lot of drama and mind power. It describes how Tris trained and fought, with both mind and body. My favourite part of the book is the description of how Tris trained to stay in Dauntless and how her mind adjusted to the mind test.

This book is THE BEST, I mean this book is more for teenagers, and full of imagination about the world in the future and hopes in the future, and the problems we may face in the future. and there is also love story in this book I’m not going to spoil but its really good, I think the story of Four and Tracy makes me really tough. Roth, Veronica’s books are awesome!
