Eragon
This is a fantasy story about a boy called Eragon who one day found a stone in the mountains. He is planning to trade it with the merchants who comes every year to the village he lives. Eragon is desperate to trade this so he could get money to buy food to get his family over the winter. But then, one night he heard a cracking noise coming from the stone. He wakes up and finds the stone cracked open and a magnificent dragon on his windowsill. Though the dragon was still young, it already have a great appetite. The old storyteller Brom tells him the king is hunting down every hint that is leading to his dragon.
The story is full of magical elements and the contents never gets readers bored! Hope you all enjoy it.
The book by Christopher Paolini is much like Lord of the rings, set in an ancient land where graceful elves, clumsy dwarves, plain humans and uncivilised Urgals lived. And one more thing… Dragons. In this first book of the Inheritance series, Eragon’s life is changed forever as he discovers an ancient dragon egg and gives a rebirth to a legacy- The Dragon riders. As it finally dawns on Eragon what he has become, it was too late. The Ra’zac, King Galbatorix’ special agents, are sent out to capture Eragon, and kills his uncle. But Brom the storyteller rescues Eragon, and takes him on a journey away from Carvahall. In Term, Brom’s old friend Jeod helps them locate their pursuers. In Dras-leona, Eragon narrowly escaped for the king’s grasp, while Brom was slain. In Gil’ead, Eragon meets the wanderer Murtagh, attempting to change his identity, and in Farthen Dur, he slay Durza, the shade. The book, long as it it, never fails to grab my attention, and brings me to a journey which I will never forget. The book is interlocked with many interesting attributes, like the ancient language, and the ability to use magic when you speak it. I think this book is amazing and should be credited along with the lord of the rings, Narnia and Harry Potter, as it possesses a inner atmosphere essential to a good novel.
