He began his new life standing up, surrounded by cold darkness and stale, dusty air.
Metal ground against metal; a lurching shudder shook the floor beneath him. He fell down at the sudden movement and shuffled backward on his hands and feet, drops of sweat beading on his forehead despite the cool air. His back struck a hard metal wall; he slid along it until he hit the corner of the room. Sinking to the floor, he pulled his legs up tight against his body, hoping his eyes would soon adjust to the darkness.
With another jolt, the room jerked up like an old lift in a mine shaft.
I like the idea or concept of the story-a boy is in a elevator, with absolutely no memory of his previous life. He is in a place called ‘The Glade’ and he is surrounded by ‘Grievers’-huge, terrifying, deadly creatures. I like how Dashner incorporates human emotions in this piece. The characters are quite realistic, and they behave like teenagers-kind of like Golding’s Lord of the Flies, but the characters are not that…aggressive.
I really like how, in the end, the characters learn the devastating truth about why they were in the Maze for all that time. The revelation would change the way they see the world-forever. The plot twists were pretty good, although I do feel that this book starts out a bit too slow in the beginning.
Overall, it is a great read!

This is a great book, that somehow is very similar to many other Utopian plots. The main character finds himself in a world where they are controlled mentally or physically by a force bigger than therm, such as the loss of memory that holds them down, the way the society thinks and views people who are different, or people that abuse their power in favor for others.
The concept was amazing and the fact that the author can think of a moving maze is amazing. This is pretty like our own society, where many people don’t have choice against their future, and are brainwashed in a way to appreciate the people who did that to them.
This book, the maze runner, is a thrilling book that you can’t release your tension. The story starts in a moving elevator. When the main character opens his eyes there, he realizes that he does not remember anything but his name. The elevator takes him to a place where is a huge maze and a bunch of boys that had gone through the same process as him. With the boys, the main character tries to get out of the maze without being killed by “Grievers” that appears in the maze every night. At last the survivors escape the maze….
I enjoyed reading this book and I am planning to read the second series “The Scorch Trials”. I highly recommend you guys to read it!
The Maze Runner is a fun and exciting book about a group of people that does not remember anything except their first names. It is one of the most amazing series of books I have ever read in my life, it is full of shocking and thrilling chapters. This book blew my mind away from all the other books I have ever read, It is an amazing book.

Maze runner is one of my favourite books in this whole word. i first saw the movie and loved it so much. so creative. he started his new live in an elevator and got into to glade and met the gladers. they killed monsters and almost die. But, they worked as a team. if they weren’t, they would die in the very beginning. I really like this creative book.
The Maze Runner is such an amazing book!!! This story is about a crew of teenagers does not remember anything expect for their names. The mean character is Thomas, he started his new life in an elevator. The elevator took him into the glade, there was a giant maze around the glade. Then, he met the gladers. The maze is very dangerous, because there were many dangerous creatures lived i the maze, they called Grivers, they were not animals, they were made by metal. The glader worked together and kill Grivers. At the last, they successfully ran out of the maze.
I love this book, it’s very interesting and awesome! It’s one of my favorite book I had every read!
This is one of my favourite books and the relationship is kind of complicating but any ways i really likes the book very much becasue the way they are saying when they run is very Vivid.
i think this book is very exiting. it tells about the amazing adventure of the amaze runner and his friend.
i like the the plot that begain the story is ver intresting.

O.M.G this book is totally super super amazing, well I said this book is great is because it was dramatic but I mean by the good one. The plot is very interesting and I really like how the author write about the relationship(friendship) between the characters. Its about bunch of people getting memory erased and woke up in a cage and saw a land, but a guy named Thomas tries to escape at the first time, but he failed cause he realise this is a big maze,and no one can ever gets out. Another reason why I like this book is that it was getting more exciting and exciting. You never knew what will happen next, so I keep on reading and reading this book, but it was a little bit scary part too, every time there is a new plot, but they never knew that this maze is all a big trap from…… I even bought the whole Maze Runner series,wish you guys will like this book.
