      The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (duh) and Oliver Twist. And Moby Dick, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, and The Mysterious Island.

      Hey Terry,
      I would recommend Ender’s Game and Ender’s Shadow (read both!)
      I also read Black Beauty when I was younger. Have you read Lord of the Flies? That made a big impression on me as well.
