Who says classics are boring? This book although a classic, is a fantastic read! I felt as if I was watching a typical Korean drama. The story is dramatic and the ending is happy. Check it out if you love romance!
I agree with Karen, even though I have not watched many Koren dramas and cannot exactly relate with this comparison. The first time I read this novel, I was in London and I felt the cultural power of this novel seeping in from around me. I had always assumed that I would not enjoy this “mushy, girly” novel, but I was, instead, taken with its ideas of the time and place. It is a classic read because of its ever lasting topics of love and self.
