Duke, is a fascinating book in my opinion. The story plots down at the USA, in a great year to narrate a book: world war 2. Duke, the dog is a German sheperd with his young, but nice owner Hobie Hanson. When hobies father leaves for the war, hobie is upset. He misses his father more than ever. The book is so detailed, that it told me about hobbies school! With his sister, his mom and himself in the home, everyone is upset. Duke is hobies greatest friend, and it gave hobie a ton of excruciating pain to give hobie of for war. He donated duke, and thought his dad would be returning in exchange. But he was wrong. His dad asked for the dog, and they send messages to each other. This is a lovely novel, with a great level of English. I suggest this book for readers that like to read a book over a span of time.
