Overall, I enjoyed reading the book, I found it quite interesting and engaging. It is an extremely interesting book. Out of the entire book the part which was the most engaging was the author’s imagery very well. His diction made the book very fun and exciting. But I was quite disappointed by the ending of the book since it was a cliff-hanger. Yet the cliff-hanger didn’t leave me wishing to read more of the book. Instead I felt like the author wanted to spread the book out into a few books to get more profit.

To be honest, I really liked this book, I would actually say that this is one of my favorite book, because It’s very unique, humorous and creative, also full of irony, which kind of follows my thinking pattern. The plot was amazing, full of anti-climax and random things. Also, the way the author wrote the book was really good, his descriptions were very vivid, I even had a dream where I was inside the pub where Ford and Arthur was drinking and chatting, and later on I died when the earth got destroyed, creepy but amusing. The end of the book was a cliff-hanger, and it made want to read the rest of the book. This is a great book, for people that loves science fiction and irony.

I liked the book in the middle part of it, since I liked the main plot and the settings. I think that the main plot is interesting, especially about Earth’s real owner, Earth demolishing, Aurthur’s 15 year friend being an alien. However, it doesn’thave a good hooker, ending, for the book.

This book is creative and imaginative; however, I personally don’t prefer science fiction genre book so it wasn’t intriguing for me. Basically the setting changed several times focusing on differne character at the same time period. Since the author tried to recall the story in different settings by different characters one at a time, it made me confusing. However, overall I enjoyed reading the book.

The book is a good choice to read in class time because it is quite interesting, and it is short so it is not going to take long to read. It is an outstanding book out of a lot of science fictions, or near sci-fies, but still sometimes it is not serious enough so it doesn’t really tell you a lot of things that make any sense. It is a good book but it is not so of a reading-multiple-times book.

I didn’t really like the book… mediocre at the most. I think that Douglas Adams used the “Heart of Gold” as an excuse to write really randomly. Other than the plot i think that he did a pretty good job with coming up with the backstory and with his skills in descriptions and imagery.. Some of the jokes made me laugh but not all of them… moreover the cliffhanger at the end of the book did not make me want to read the next one.

The Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy was boring. Truth be told, some parts of the book was interesting in some part for example (*SPOILER ALERT*) when the main character has the answer to the so called ultimate question. The author put in a lot of cliffhangers but failed to catch the reader’s attention.

I know it’s a good book, but I personally didn’t enjoy reading it. There are a few points/parts in the book that are interesting, it got me thinking about some questions that I don’t usually do. I like reading Sci-Fi books, and this is an unique one. A lot of times, the book tries to be funny, but then it is not. Story isn’t funny, but the fact that this is a parody of science fiction is funny. Even though it is a science fiction, it’s amazing how it doesn’t tell us the “Truth” (or Ultimate Truth”), because usually science fictions give you facts, ideas, and most important, the truth. But not this book. I didn’t enjoy this book as much because the story isn’t really catchy, nor exciting for me, and I feel like my thoughts aren’t on track on track all the time. I don’t know if it’s just me that feels this way: the story is a bit, A BIT confusing. So when I read, my mind drifts out sometimes and sort of ask myself “What’s going on?”.
I understand Mr.Adams created a whole new world from scrap. Like THGTTG. And I also understand that when you read a book, you are introduced to a lot of characters and places. As readers, we need to know them, memorize who they are and all that. But this time, the characters’ names are really funny, complicated and hard to remember. Like Slartibarfast, seriously, it sounds like I am turning into a mummy, when my brain become liquid and it comes out through my nostrils.
I really like it that THGTTG’s main characters (or just…characters) are grown ups. It instantaneously makes the book much more interesting. Even if some people think that this book is a joke, well, that won’e happen if the main characters are adults, I know it doesn’t make any sense but it’s true, and it will make sense if you think about it. I also like it that Arthur Dent is a human being, this way the readers are connected to this character more than any other characters. It’s like us readers are going on a journey, and Arthur Dent represents us there, facing everything.
Mr. Adams did create the future.
This is not the best book ever written (But, hey, what is?) It is unlikely to affect you on any deep emotional level and you probably won’t spend sleepless nights just thinking about it. That’s me. I might put the babel fish in the wrong whole. On the other hand, I really enjoyed Mr. Adam’s style of writing. Sometimes, my heart giggles a bit while reading that book. Science fiction is a pretty cool genre, it leads you to believe everything or anything. It stuffs you with possibilities and predictions. At the end of the book, the irony comes in: The universe might as well be a joke. There is God, I don’t deny. But the definition of the universe that human gave might be different than what it really is.

The book was great, it was very interesting to read. The book had an organized plot and setting. I really liked the book and would want to recommend the book to many other readers who are looking for a great Science fiction books to read. The narrator in the book has clearly explained and described what was happening in every scene from each section of the book.

When I was first asked to read this book for English class, I did not really expect much. However, the book turned out to be one of the best science fiction books I’ve ever read in my life. We also watched the movie in class, which was really cool. I was very surprised to find someone as creative and ingenious as Douglas Adams. I recommend this book to everybody. It’s a very easy read as well (just in case you’re worried about its language or length).

After I read the book, I think this is a funny book and the story is good and full. So overall the book is very good. I first know this book when I first watch the movie, and it’s funny so I decided to read the book. It’s very creative and fun to read, I think it’s a good book for people who like to read novels. The story line is very good, and you can see the whole meaning of the story very clearly. The book is imaginative and the fake rule in the story can explain other rules in the story so it’s clear. The setting reaches about the whole universe and the writer thinks about everything is the story to make it’s right. the character is depict very good. So over all it’s a good book to read and I hope others can read it.
