    A man called Gulliver traveled around the Earth, he met huge man in Brobdingnag, little man in Lilliput, and strange people in Laputa. There were lots of fanny things. Like the strange people’s teacher wrote the knowledge on the paper but they ate it. And in Lilliput, the people were 15 CM, and in Brobdingnag, Gulliver was like 15CM.

    Mr.Haysom, please post the followings on the page of flight of the fire thief by Terry Deary once you add it to the list before 10.6, 2:00pm.
    This story imagined what happened among the gods during the time of the Trojan war. Zeus helped the Greeks won the War. The poor avenger was still searching for Prometheus, willing to taste his liver. So Prometheus was forced to traveled forward in time to find a human hero. He bumped into a girl called Nell in 1795, afterwards they shared some spooky, exciting adventures. At last he escaped from the avenger .
    I find the parts where the myth, the fiction and time travel combined were interesting. I laughed at the part when Zeus’s wife Hera tried the Trojan horse trick on Eden city in 1795 and got burned inside. Some words were funny like Pa says that audiences who came to look at their shows were “suckers”. I liked the part when little Nell and Pa tricked their “suckers” and took $250 from a single town and almost got caught.

    Peter Pan was a fairy boy who never grows up. He lured three children away from their home because the lost boys and peter don’t have a mother but they want one. They flew to Neverland with him. The inhabitances of Neverland were the lost boys, the pirates, the red skins and the wild beasts. Each trying to catch the following. The boys and girl went though many adventures. Once they were caught by the pirates and brought aboard the ship, but peter rescued them and they kill all the pirates. At last the children went home with the lost boys. The girl went to Neverland for spring cleaning with Peter. When she grew old her daughter Jane went. When Jane was old her daughter went and so on.
    This book is full of imaginations and adventures. I like it.

    Cherry E7E Game of Thrones series. The Feast for Crows

    The Feast For Crows is the fourth book in the Game of Thrones series. If you don’t read the first three books, you won’t be able to understand what the book is about, since the books are related and the foundation informations are mostly in book 1. The plot of this book is basically about different people fighting for the leftovers of the big families. It also talks about stories about royal family members after the fight between big families. The basic idea the auther tries to express throughout different perspectives of characters is “Never trust anyone” and “When playing the game of thrones, you win or you die”. The setting is in the land of Westeros, started from Robert defeating the Targaryen family. House Stark, House Lannister, House Baratheon and House Targaryen are the most important families in the story. I love this book because the setting and plot attracted me alot because conflicts and how the characters are thinking.

    This is a story happens during WW2, about how the main character Annemarie reacts when hearing the Jews, including her friend Ellen are going to be trasported to a concentration camp. And for me, the most exciting part in the book was when Annemarie and her family tries to hide Ellen, and almost got caught by the Nazis. The book also gives an idea of what the situation it waas during the war.

      When my English teacher from last year recommended the Song of Roland to our class, I passed it off as another deep, thoughtful book that would “explore the mysteries of life” . I did not enjoy books like those, so I didn’t read it and forgot about it. Recently, as I was looking through my Ebooks folder on my computer, I rediscovered “the Song of Roland” on my computer and decided to read it because I was bored. I was plesantly suprised.
      That was because first of all, it turned out to be comic book. Although I like to read all kinds of books, comic books are by far my favorite because they require the least brain power to read. The art of “the Song of Roland” is amazing, much like the drawing styles of the famous European comics Tintin and Asterix. The author, a Canadian French writer and artist called Michel Rabagliati has openly admitted this, stating that Tintin and Asterix was a major inspiration to him.
      Another reason why “the Song of Roland” appealed to me so much was because instead of being the boring “life pondering” book that I thought it was, I turned out to be simple, engaging and sometimes funny tale about an old man’s fight against cancer and him coming to terms with the end of his life. Basically, “the Fault in Our Stars” old man Canadian version. Besides talking about cancer, the book also touches upon the average life of a Canadian (In fact, for most of the book, the main character is actually Roland’s (the person who’s dying) son in law) and how the world’s coping with the coming of the Digital Age.
      I recommend this book for everyone, whether young or old. The writing is simple and understandable, the artwork is beautiful, and the story is touching and funny at the same time.

    BOOK REVIEW

    I found this book in the library, when i was looking on the shelf. this book catches my eyes. THE CAPTURE… I love the books about animals, and fiction.
    This book is about a young Barn Owl named Soren lives peacefully with his family, participating in rituals like the First Meat ceremony, and enjoying legends about the Guardians of Ga’Hoole, knightly owls “who would rise each night into the blackness and perform noble deeds.” After he falls from his nest, his idyllic world transforms into one of confusion and danger, as he is captured by evil chick-snatching owls and taken to the St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls. Soren and his new friend Gylfie work to develop strategies for withstanding “moon blinking” (brainwashing), while secretly striving to learn how to fly. The legends of Ga’Hoole help them to survive, and they are able to escape to find their families and warn the world about the dangers of St. Aegolius. After Soren and Gylfie escaped from St, Aegolius, they meat Twilight and Digger.

    I recommended this book to the people who like animal and adventure books, the Capture is only the first one, There is about 15 books that has been written about this fabulous adventure story. On the other hand, I think this book is for the younger student to read, the vocabulary in the book is a bit too easy for middle school student yo read it. It will be for student that is in the are about 10 or even younger.
    After all I really do think that this is a great book to read about, it have great plot and it makes people interested to go on and read the whole book.

    Antony Horwitz-Storm breaker.
    Stormbreaker, apart from being the first book in the Alex rider series, is a great book with great plot. Even the word doesn’t give a clue, so its quite interesting. It starts with Alex Rider, a 14 year old school boy whose parents have been murdered- and recently, when his Uncle Ian Rider was reported to die in a car crash. But in the funeral, Ians boss came with a gun, and that’s when you feel somethings fishy. And Ian was his guardian and a very careful man. One school day, he finds Ians car covered with bullets. A few days later, he realises that Ian’s boss was nice and his uncle was a spy. Stormbreaker was the name of the operation. Read this book to challenge your mind on the evil mastermind behind the Storm Breaker. It is a great book and it is a great series to start reading
